Welcome! I'm Lauren Siry, an artist, curator, consultant, and writer based in London, England and San Diego, California. I have a Master's degree in Contemporary Art from Sotheby's Institute of Art and a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.
I'm the founding director of 1805 Gallery in San Diego, where I curate exhibitions, residencies, and lectures featuring local and international artists. I also work with companies to create art programs that encourage community involvement and support the business's brand identity.
I've worked with companies such as Porto Vista Hotel, HG Fenton Company, and Simon Property Group. My curatorial projects have been featured in various publications, including Arts and Culture, KPBS, Pacific Magazine, Voice of San Diego, and Alpha Kilo Creative.
In addition to my curatorial work, I've served as a judge for exhibitions at the San Diego International Airport and taught workshops at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library.
I'm excited to share my knowledge and art practice with you.
Lauren
